Requirements: GroupCalendar for MS CRM Online

...

There are two different possibilities to install GroupCalendar for MS CRM Online:

1) with Office 365 authentication
2) with Live ID authentication

Please note: There is no trial-version for GroupCalendar. To test GroupCalendar, we have an own test organization environment. Please click here to get details about how to connect to our CRM Online test-organization.

If you have purchased GroupCalendar, please follow the instructions below. Please note: after everything is set up and running DO NOT disable the user!

1) How to install GroupCalendar Online with Office 365 authentication

A. First of all, you must create a new user in your CRM organization/Office 365. The name is not that important. You could name it for example "mscrmaddonsservice" or something like that.
Please note: The user must be system administrator within CRM so we can install GroupCalendar into your organization. If you don't have any users left, please disable another user temporarily while the GC installation is finished.

B. Please send the username for the organization and the temporary password to support@mscrm-addons.com.
We will change this password for security reasons because it will be transfered plain text via email.
During the creation of the user you also have the possibility to specify an email address to which the password should be sent to. Please specify support@mscrm-addons.com. We recommend to use this method.

C. We will install GroupCalendar into your CRM Online organization. When we are finished, we will send you an email so you can proceed with the next steps.

Now change the CRM access role in the office 365 portal. (See next screenshot)

Next, change the user settings as shown in figure 2.

D. Remove the system administrator role from the user. We have created and assigned a new security role named MSCRMAddonsAzureService during the setup which covers the basic privileges for the service user.

D. Please open the GroupCalendar Service User (the user you created in step A) (Settings > Administration > Users). Please set the MSCRMAddons service user to non-interactive access mode (to do so, please follow this blog article).
If the user is still counted by CRM dynamics licensing after being set to non-interactive, simply remove the CRM license from this user in the Office 365 Portal.

F. Please open GroupCalendar in CRM (Workplace > My Work) and verify that everything works fine.

G. Enjoy GroupCalendar for CRM Online!

2) How to install GroupCalendar Online with Live ID authentication, step-by-step description

2A. Please invite the Live ID mscrmaddonsazureservice@hotmail.com to your organization. Please note: The user must be system administrator within CRM so we can install GroupCalendar into your organization. If you don't have any users left, please disable another user temporarily while the GC installation is finished.

2B. We will install GroupCalendar into your CRM Online organization. When we're finished, we'll send you an email so you can proceed with the next steps.

2C. Please open the GroupCalendar Service User (the user you have invited in step A - Settings > Administration > Users) and run the workflow Set MSCRMAddons Service User to non-interactive for that user. This will set the user to a non-interactive access-mode so the user will not be counted for the CRM licensing.

2D. We will remove the system administrator role from that user. Please verify this. We have created and assigned a new security role named MSCRMAddonsAzureService during the setup which covers the basic privileges for the service user.

2E. Please open GroupCalendar in CRM (Workplace > My Work) and verify if everything is working.

2F. Enjoy the GroupCalendar for CRM Online.

That’s it! We appreciate your feedback! Please share your thoughts by sending an email to support@mscrm-addons.com
