How to share PowerSearch Config records

Once you have created some nice PowerSearch Config records, you may want other users or teams to work with them.

To enable others to work with your Config, it is crucial to share your records. Before you haven’t shared them, the Config records will not be visible for others.

This article describes how to export and import the PowerSearch Configuration Records. It is useful if you a) want to create a backup or b) migrate your configuration from one organization to another one. 

Microsoft offers some really helpful tools for Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Dynamics CRM addons in general. When you, for example, download the MS SDK, it provides you with the Configuration Migration tool that supports you in migrating data from one system to another.

How to rebuild a phone number index table

When phone numbers are not being resolved correctly, the cause is sometimes an incomplete phone number index table (to be found in the MSCRM-ADDONS.com CTI CallInfos) in CRM. 

It is recommended to rebuild this table from scratch. This includes removing all existing data in that table. To do so, we use the Telephone Integration update service. This article outlines how to do so.

Configure RecordCounter for unmanaged custom entities

To successfully enable RecordCounter (RC) for unmanaged entities, please follow these instructions:

First, enable RC for the custom entity. Simply check the checkbox in the tree view of the RecordCounter Server Config.

Then open CRM, navigate to Settings and click on Customizations.
